on remote working at the Jan Kochanowski University
in Kielce during the epidemic

Due to the need to ensure safe and hygienic working conditions during the epidemic, I would like to inform that:

  1. pursuant to § 1 point 8 of Order No. 216/2020 of the Rector of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce of 2 October 2020 on counteracting the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus among the academic community of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce:
  1. a supervisor may instruct an employee to carry out their duties remotely, specifying the scope and duration of work to be provided in this form.
  2. an employee's supervisor is obliged to maintain contact with, supervise, and account for the employee doing the remote work;
  3. the rector or supervisor may call upon the employee at any time to perform work at the place indicated in the employment contract;
  1. the remote work should be carried out at the employee's home address indicated to the employer; in the event that the employee reports that he or she is unable to work at his or her home address, the supervisor shall, at the employee's request, agree to a different location for the remote work;
  2. the employee should perform the remote work at the location referred to in
    point 2, during working hours resulting from the employment contract or from other intra-university acts or documents;
  3. the employee may, at his/her request, be excused from remote working for the time necessary
    to handle important personal and family matters that cannot be handled with outside working hours (so-called private leave) after acquiring the approval of the supervisor; detailed provisions on so-called private leave are set out in § 51 of the JKU Work Regulations;
  4. the supervisor and employees performing remote work should be in constant contact by phone, e-mail, or other electronic means (e.g. MS TEAMS application);
  5. it is recommended that the supervisor of non-academic staff who perform remote work should set up a team in the MS TEAMS app, in respect of the managed administrative unit, and hold at least two remote meetings per day with these employees (after beginning work and before ending work).
