Communication from Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce on the cancellation of events

The events scheduled for this Friday at the University Library and the Faculty of Science and Life Sciences are being rescheduled.

The decision has been jointly taken by Jan Kochanowski University authorities and event organisers. On Friday, 13 March, the Faculty of Science and Life Sciences was to host a celebration of the Number Pi Holiday. On the same day, a meeting with prominent Himalayan mountaineer Krzysztof Wielicki was scheduled in the evening at the University Library. Both events will not take place. – Following the recommendations of the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the authorities, we have decided to cancel both events. We expected several hundred participants at each event. In the current coronavirus threat situation, we want to avoid any risk to participants, says JKU Prof. Barbara Zbroińska, PhD hab, Vice-Rector for JKU Development and Finance.

The events will take place at a later date.
