Message of the Rector of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce of April 6, 2020 on additional security measures to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus

on additional security measures to
prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus
In connection with the temporary limitation of the functioning of the university, the need to ensure safe and hygienic working conditions and the obligation to comply with the requirements resulting from the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of March 31, 2020 on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and prohibitions in connection with the outbreak of an epidemic (Journal of Laws 2020 pos. 566 as amended), I would like to inform you that:
- in accordance with § 9 sec. 7 point 3 (a) above of the Regulation, persons employed regardless of the basis of employment are provided with disposable gloves or hand disinfectants,
- in accordance with § 9 sec. 7 p. 3(b) of the aforementioned Regulation, the distance between individual workstations must be at least 1.5 m, subject to exceptions provided by law,
- The University orders and distributes personal protective equipment to staff on an ongoing basis, including: masks, disposable gloves, disinfectants,
- in accordance with § 3 sec. 2 of the aforementioned Regulation, a person under compulsory quarantine, as referred to in the Regulation, shall inform his or her employer that he or she is under quarantine; this information shall be transmitted by means of information and communication systems, including by telephone,
- in accordance with § 3 sec. 3 of the aforementioned Regulation in order to pay the person in compulsory quarantine referred to in the Regulation, for the duration of the quarantine, the remuneration referred to in Art. 92 of the Act of June 26, 1974. – Labour Code (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1040, 1043 and 1495), or a cash benefit for sickness specified in separate regulations, this person, within 3 working days from the date of the end of the mandatory quarantine referred to in the regulation, submits to the employer or the entity obliged to pay the cash benefit for sickness a written statement confirming the completion of mandatory quarantine; this declaration may be submitted via ICT systems or communication systems,
- in accordance with § 3 sec. 6 of the aforementioned Regulation, the employer may apply to the competent authority of the State Sanitary Inspectorate to verify the data contained in the statement referred to in point 5.
