Brief description:
Project of publishing a monograph entitled. „Book reportage in the light of statistical linguistics. Syntax, style, genre” by dr Katarzyna Ostrowska constitutes an unconventional intermethodological proposal on the publishing market. The subject of the monograph is related to the study of statements of Polish book reportages awarded the Beata Pawlak Award. The originality of this position results from filling the gap in the academic study of contemporary Polish book reportage from statistical, syntactic, stylistic, and genological perspectives. Publishing this scientific monograph will bring concrete results, such as: disseminating the results of linguistic research devoted to Polish book reportage, familiarising primary and secondary school students with the method of syntactic analysis and students of Polish philology, journalism, political science, and sociology with the methods of quantitative-qualitative analysis, as well as adepts of the reporter's art with the stylistic and syntactic determinants of contemporary Polish book reportage. Consequently, the research results presented in this monograph will provide a springboard for the development of further research areas, e.g. concerning the evolution of reportage syntax, individual reporter style, and reportage lexis.
