Brief description:

The investment will include the reconstruction of the "Melodia" Student Dormitory, located at ul. Śląska 15 in Kielce, in the area of the dormitory campus. The building is adjacent to the "Odyssey" and "Fama" Student Dormitories. The reconstruction with funds from the designated subsidy will include construction works, including the construction of partition walls with the installation of partition doors to separate zones on each floor of the building and vestibules, the construction of ventilation and electrical installations, as well as the costs of investor supervision. Own funds will be used to cover the cost of works required by law to improve fire safety. 64 Segments will be adapted in the "Melodia" Student Dormitory, consisting of a kitchen, bathroom, and 2 rooms, designed to accommodate 192 students.

The investment includes the reconstruction of the "Melodia" Student Dormitory, with technical parameters:

• 10 storeys, 9 above ground + lift machine room on the roof, 1 underground,
• built-up area of 387 m2,
• usable area of 3 306 m2,
• cubic capacity of 9 765 m3,
• height 26 m.

The building serves as a collective residence. Horizontal communication takes place via a corridor along the building, vertical communication via a staircase and two lifts accessible from the main hall.

The basement includes technical and storage rooms.

The ground floor houses a lobby with a reception area and ancillary rooms.

Floors 2-9 include student accommodation rooms, studio type, which share a common entrance from the corridor to a shared kitchenette and bathroom, divided into 2 living rooms.

As part of the construction works, funded by a designated subsidy, the following will be carried out:

• construction works, including:
  • on the ground floor, demolition works, construction of partition walls, installation of doors and windows, painting; the works will allow separating spaces and changing the technical parameters of the storey, including dividing the corridor into 2 parts, improving safety due to replacing the door joinery with devices holding the doors in the open position with the possibility of release;
  • on floors 2-9, demolition work, construction of partition walls, installation of doors and windows, painting;
  • the works will allow separating the space and changing the technical parameters of the storey, including creating vestibules, separating staircases, and improving safety in connection with replacing door joinery with devices that hold the door in the open position with the possibility of release;
  • construction works and installing ventilation ducts on the façade; carrying out ventilation works will improve air circulation, changing the parameters of the ventilation installation;
• sanitary systems - ventilation installation, carrying out ventilation works will improve air circulation, change the parameters of the ventilation installation;
• electrical systems - necessary for reconstructing the ventllation system.
