Candidate for the post of Deputy Rector for science and international cooperation
Prof. zw. dr hab. Marek Przeniosło was born on 10 August 1962 in Włoszczowa. He completed his university studies at the Institute of History of the Kielce Academy of Fine Arts, where he was employed as an assistant in 1986. He defended his doctorate at the local Faculty of Humanities in October 1993 and habilitated here in April 2004 (the first habilitation carried out at the University). He was awarded the title of professor in February 2011.
His research interests include mainly the social and political history of Poland in the 19th and 20th centuries. He has travelled abroad on numerous occasions for source searches (including Ukraine, Lithuania, Russia, United Kingdom, Austria). His output includes more than 200 scientific texts, including 11 books. He has presented his research findings at more than 80 conferences. To date, he has organised more than a dozen scientific conferences. Under his editorship (co-editorship), 18 compact works have been published. He is currently a member of five grant research groups (four NPRH grants;and one NCN). He is on the scientific advisory boards of several historical periodicals.
He was the supervisor of seven doctoral theses. More than 100 people have defended their master's theses under his guidance. He has repeatedly been appointed as a reviewer in doctoral dissertations, habilitation procedures and for the title of professor (also in evaluations of units applying for habilitation qualifications).
From 2009 to 2012, he was deputy director at the Institute of History of the JKU in Kielce (responsible for scientific affairs), and since 2012 he has held the position of deputy rector for science and international cooperation. Since 2006, he has been head of the Department of Polish and General History 1918-1945. He served two terms as president of the Kielce Branch of the Polish Historical Society. For several years, he was chairman of the Regional History Olympiad (Świętokrzyskie voivodeship and part of Mazowieckie). Since 2015, he has been a member of the Committee of Historical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
