IV JAN KOCHANOWSKI UNIVERSITY IN KIELCE DOCTORAL STUDENTS' FORUM

The JKU Doctoral Students' Committee would like to invite you to participate in the IV National Doctoral Student's Forum under the patronage of His Maginifecence Rector of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, which will take place on 17-19 November 2020 in a hybrid form (on site and remote) at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, at ul
Uniwersytecka 7. For the paper session we would like to invite JKU doctoral students as well as doctoral students from other universities. Whereas JKU students and students from other universities are invited to the poster session.
The doctoral student's forum serves to exchange thoughts, experiences, and ideas in terms of the broadly defined interdisciplinary character of scientific research.
The seminar serves also as a report session on the progress of doctoral dissertations. Participation in the Doctoral Students' Forum is free of charge
and:
compulsory for doctoral students who have not submitted a doctoral dissertation, 2. optional for those who have submitted a dissertation and wish to present the results of their research.
Sessions will be held in the following sections:
- humanities,
- exact and natural sciences,
- social sciences and the arts,
- health sciences.
During the sessions of the Doctoral Students' Forum, the progress of the doctoral thesis or the results of the research concerning the doctoral student's individual research interests should be presented in the form of an oral presentation.
The oral presentation should be prepared in PDF format. The 10-minute presentation consists of information including:
concept of the dissertation/preliminary research (applies to students of the first year of the Doctoral School), 2. research progress in the past academic year (applies to students of the second, third, and fourth year of the Doctoral School and to students of the doctoral study course).
Papers should be presented in English for the exact and natural sciences section. Whereas, for the health sciences, humanities, as well as social sciences and arts sections, papers can be presented in both Polish and English, with English ones being rewarded.
All papers by doctoral students of the Jan Kochanowski University presented in the paper session will be nominated for the Rector's Award „Prodomus” in each discipline. There will also be a Rector's award for the best poster for JKU students.
Doctoral students as well as undergraduate, graduate, and uniform Master's degree students from outside JKU may present their own research interests, but they do not take part in the competition.
