3.1 POWER actions Competences in Higher Education,co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund

Project objective: To improve the key professional, interpersonal, analytical competences of 117 full-time students of Environmental Protection (first and second cycle) and Tourism and Recreation (first cycle) for further education and/or employment of graduates.

 

Target group:

The project is aimed at 120 students in the last four semesters of full-time studies:

  • tourism and recreation, first-cycle studies (semesters III, IV, V, VI)
  • environmental protection, first-cycle studies (semesters III, IV, V, VI)
  • environmental protection, second-cycle studies (semesters I, II, III, IV)

 

Project description:

The support provided by the project includes:

  1. the development of the competences of the students of the TOURISM AND RECREATION programme through:
  • CERTIFIED TRAINING - Internal Auditor of the Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001 of 52 teaching hours including a certification exam according to the standard of the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification
  • CERTIFIED TRAINING - Sign-marker of lowland trails - 32 hours of instruction including examination according to the PTTK standard
  • WORKSHOPS - Workshop of a field tourist guide in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, amounting to 100 didactic hours (theoretical exercises, hiking trips, coach trips and guiding practice in accordance with the guidelines of ZG PTTK). Class ends with an exam according to PTTK standard - 2 days: theory+practice (leading a tour on your own)
  • WORKSHOPS - Creation of a tourism geoproduct, 40 hours
  • STUDY VISITS to employers in the tourism and leisure industry - activities in the form of workshops in 8 didactic hours
  • PRACTICAL TASKS IN THE FORM OF A PROJECT carried out by teams of students as part of diploma preparation, amounting to 40-60 didactic hours.

 

  1. competency development of the students of the ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION programme through:
  • WORKSHOPS - Environmental Management System Assistant according to ISO 14001 of 20 hours including a certification exam according to the standard of the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification
  • CERTIFIED TRAINING - Environmental Management System Representative according to ISO14001 of 64 hours including certification exam according to the standard of the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification
  • STUDY VISITS TO companies with the ISO14001 standard implemented - ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT IN PRACTICE - 32 hours (4days*8h)
  • PRACTICAL TASKS IN THE FORM OF A PROJEC - ASPECTS OF EMS IMPLEMENTATION according to ISO14001 - project work as part of diploma preparation 40 - 60h;
  • PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS - RES-E TECHNOLOGY, EWE - 8 hours.

 

  1. development of ’soft skills’ in the area of COMMUNICATION - COOPERATION - ASSERTIVENESS through workshops of 16 teaching hours on the following topics:
  • Communication and assertiveness
  • Teamwork

 

Completion date: 01.04.2017 - 31.03.2020

Value of the project: 736 731,24 PLN

European Social Fund co-financing 84.28% - 620 917.09 PLN
