Medical care for JKU employees

Dear All.

We would like to inform you that, despite extending the deadline for submitting medical insurance declarations by another month, only slightly more than half of the people who declared their willingness to take subscribe to this insurance in the survey organised in July this year have submitted their declarations. As a result, the ZNP and NSZZ Solidarność trade unions resigned from launching the Opieka Medyczna program offered by PZU ŻYCIE S.A. for JKU employees.

The terms and conditions of the insurance, including the payable premium, were prepared basing on the declared number of applicants. Due to not meeting this condition, launching the medical insurance was not possible.

Dear All.

We would like to kindly inform you that the Opieka Medyczna S.A. program offered by the PZU ŻYCIE S.A. insurance company will not be launched as of 1 October 2022 due to an insufficient number of submitted declarations.

Persons interested in the insurance program are asked not to delay the decision to join.

If the criterion of the number of people subscribing to the insurance is met, then the policy will become effective at our University from 1 November 2022. Otherwise, the University will abandon the introduction of medical benefits.

In order to be covered by medical insurance on the above date, it is necessary to complete a declaration of joining and a declaration of consent to deduct premiums from wages, and the documents must be submitted in printed form to the Payroll Department by 20 October 2022.

Stanisław Głuszek and the trade unions NSZZ Solidarność and Związek Nauczycielstwa Polskiego, the employees of our University (along with their families) have the opportunity to join the Opieka Medyczna group program offered by the PZU ŻYCIE S.A. insurance company

as of 1 October 2022.

To be covered by the medical insurance at the aforementioned date, it is necessary to complete a declaration of joining and a declaration of consent to deduct premiums from wages, and the documents must be submitted in printed form to the Payroll Department by 20 September 2022 .

Opieka Medyczna group insurance for our employees:

It provides professional medical care in renowned medical facilities throughout Poland, with no referrals, no limits, and no standing in queues, with a waiting time of 5 working days to see a specialist.
There is a choice between the „Standard” and „Comfort” packages, which differ in the range of benefits.
Consultations are arranged via a dedicated helpline or via the online portal „Moje PZU”.
The REFUND option – we cover the costs incurred for consultations with specialists and examinations (in terms of a given medical package) performed on „your own” – REFUND INSTRUCTIONS - price list in the attachment.
mojePZU – a platform full of benefits: it allows making/buying a medical appointment at one of the numerous medical facilities, take advantage of a medical interview, as well as many other benefits (leaflet). Important - in order to set up an account and log in to the moje PZU platform it is necessary to provide the telephone number and email address in the declaration of membership.
In the program for Employees of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, the „age derogation” from the General Insurance Conditions has been applied: Age of the insured – possibility to join the medical package regardless of the age of the employee or spouse/partner over 16, children are insured up to the age of 18. (or 25 if studying).
