Electronic Student ID Card - information

The appearance of the Electronic Student Identity Card is defined by the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 27 September 2018 on studies (Journal of Laws 2018, Item 1861 as amended)

MODEL ELECTRONIC STUDENT ID CARD

 

In the following paragraphs, the regulation sets out the functions that the electronic student ID card performs or can perform, as well as the rights and obligations incumbent on students in relation to the possession of the student card:

 

"§ 7. 1. The student card is a document that certifies student status.

2. Students have the right to hold a student ID card until the date of graduation, suspension or expulsion from the list of students, and in the case of first cycle graduates - until 31 October of the year of graduation of such studies.

3. In the event of the destruction or loss of the student card, the student is obliged to notify the university immediately.

4. The validity of the student card shall be confirmed every semester by affixing an expiry date and a round stamp with the national emblem, and the electronic student card - by updating data in the electronic system and affixing a hologram, the design of which is set out in Annex no. 4 to the Regulations, in consecutively marked fields of the card.

§ 8. 1. The electronic student card can be used at the university, in particular as a library access card and as an access card to technical facilities and laboratories.

2. The electronic student card can also be used outside the university."

Functions of the Electronic Student ID Card hereinafter referred to as ESC.

The ESC can be used to:
1) confirmation of study at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce;
2) visual identification of the student;
3) access to the Campus of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce;
4) access to the resources of the University Library;
5) access to the functions of the university's print centres;
6) The ESC can be used as a Kielce City Card ZTM Kielce (applies to cards issued from the academic year 2013/2014).


The Electronic Student ID Card works with the following machines:

1 Once you have registered your ESC as a library card at the JKU Library, you can use the self-borrowing machine. It is possible to borrow and return books from the library that are available in the so-called "free access" (for this purpose, a machine must be used in which the person - cardholder - authorises himself with the ESC card). 2 The ESC can be used as a Kielce City Card of ZTM Kielce. The ESC should be registered by going to any ZTM point in Kielce - fill in the form and make a payment to recharge the card. Points of sale at http://ztm.kielce.pl The ESC card is a personal KKM card.
3 The ESC card, after registration as a Kielce City Card and a cash top-up at the Municipal Roads Management in Kielce at 14 Kościuszki Street in the Paid Parking Zone Department, can be used to pay for parking in Kielce at parking meter machines. More at - http://www.mzd.kielce.pl
