Project duration: 01.01.2019 – 30.06.2020

The aim of the project is to awaken the cognitive curiosity of people at risk of social exclusion and to improve their competences in mathematical and natural science skills, learning and entrepreneurship. The project involves young people aged 6 to 18 staying in Youth Education Centres and Youth Socio-therapeutic Centres in the Świętokrzyskie voivodeship. Teaching activities will be carried out in the form of experiments/workshops on the premises of Jan Kochanowski University (JKU Holy Cross Research Station, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Kielce) and the Regional Science and Technology Centre (Świętokrzyski Biobank, da Vinci Science Centre) in Podzamcze near Chęciny.

As part of the project, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce and the Regional Science and Technology Centre planned teaching activities for the participants related to the following three tasks:

Task 1. Fostering pupils' cognitive curiosity through mathematics and science activities based on the experimental method:

The secret world of the soil nugget
Through stomach to the heart
Light experiments
Take care of the climate
The secret world of the soil nugget

Task 2. Promoting entrepreneurial attitudes among students.

Task 3. Shaping learning skills.
