WhatsApp and a very serious security vulnerability

Due to a serious security vulnerability, it was possible for an attacker to remotely install spyware on the victim's mobile hardware without the victim's knowledge. The attack was designed in such a way that the person using the application could not prevent it in any way.

It is recommended that the application is updated to the latest available version.

• Windows Phone 8.1: go to Store and tap Menu … > my apps > WhatsApp > update.
  You can also go to Store and search for WhatsApp. Tap WhatsApp > update.
• Windows Phone 10: go to Microsoft Store and tap Menu ? > My library. Tap Update next to WhatsApp.
  You can also go to Microsoft Store and search for WhatsApp. Tap WhatsApp > update.

If the label Update/Update is missing, it means that you have the latest version of the appllication.
