Title: NEW PERSPECTIVES of development of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, project co-financed by the European Social Fund on the basis of a competition conducted by the National Centre for Research and Development, no. POWR.03.05.00-00-z225/17 , Priority axis: III. Higher education for the economy and development, Measure: 3.5 Comprehensive university programmes.
Project period: from 2018-10-01 to 2022-12-29.
Project objective
Improvement of the quality, efficiency, accessibility of the education system and management of the University at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce through the development and implementation of the Integrated Development Programme of JKU, consistent with the JKU Task Plan for the 2016-2020 term.
The project is in line with the implementation of the specific objectives of the PO WER concerning development of the competences of people participating in higher education, corresponding to the needs of the economy, the labour market and society, and providing support for organisational changes and increasing the competences of staff in the higher education system.
The project will include following modules:
- modification of the curricula in six fields of study with the inclusion of e-learning,
- enhancing students' soft skills through e.g., workshops, certified training courses, study visits, additional practical tasks,
- internship programmes,
- enhancement of the teaching competences of the academic staff.
- enhancement of the competences of managerial and administrative staff,
- support for IT tools for education and university management, a part of which is a planned purchase of an e-learning platform and modernisation of the Integrated Information System (ZSI).
- restructuring measures in the area of university management
Target group
The project will cover JKU students in their last four semesters of full-time studies, academic teachers, and managerial and administrative staff. The project will result in 723 students receiving support to improve their competences, 1080 students will benefit from paid internships, 175 academic teachers will improve their teaching competences, 126 administrative staff will take part in training courses, management competences will be improved by 30 people.
