Announcement of the Rector of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielceon the epidemiological threat of coronavirus (causing COVID-19)

In connection with the World Health Organization (WHO) communiqueson the epidemiological risk of coronavirus (causing COVID-19) and determining the degree of global risk of coronavirus spreading as very high, the Rector of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce decided to suspend the trips and arrivals of students, PhD students and employees to/from countries listed in the communique of the Chief Sanitary Inspector of 09/03/2020 i.e. China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France (Oise department in the Hauts-de-France Region, Ile-de-France region, Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Morbihan department in the Brittany region ), Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Japan.The decision is valid from March 10 this year. until further notice.

It is recommended to limit the academic mobility of students, doctoral students and university staff at national and international level to the places of coronavirus spread not listed in the Chief Sanitary Inspectoratecommunications.

Academic mobility is monitored on an ongoing basis, and from January this year. is under the strict supervision of the university authorities.Bearing in mind the safety of mobility participants, we would like to inform you that students of the Jan Kochanowski University currently staying in Italian universities who will decide to shorten their stay and return to the country will receive the support of the staff of the International Relations Department, including in the field of shortening formalities.Currently, 2 students undergo voluntary quarantine remaining in isolation.

Practical classes and student internships for students of Collegium Medicum in hospitals and other medical institutions are suspended immediately, i.e. from 10/03/2020 until further notice.Seminar classes will be conducted in university didactic buildings.Internships implemented by students of other faculties in all institutions are suspended immediately, i.e. from 10/03/2020 until further notice.

Until further notice, the university does not organize mass events and there is no WSPAK Student Club available to organize events.

At the same time, we remind you of the recommendations to take all available precautions and to be vigilant.It is necessary to follow the recommendations of sanitary and medical services.If a student is quarantined due to observation aimed at excluding coronavirus infection (COVID-19), their absence from classes should be considered justified.
