Kielce, May 15–17, 2011
On May 15–17, 2011 Institute of Mathematics of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce organizes Symposium
consisting of:
- Lectures of Professor Robert Cauty (Paris) who will explain his algebraic approach to a solution of the Schauder Conjecture;
- Talks of participants of the Symposium related to the Schauder Conjecture.
We recall that the famous Schauder Conjecture (written as Problem 54 in the Scottish Book in 1935) says that each compact convex subset of a linear topological space has the fixed point property. It was finally resolved by Robert Cauty in 2005.
