The NA61
Experiment
M.Gazdzicki, St.Mrowczynski, M.Rybczynski, P.Seyboth, G.Stefanek, Z.Wlodarczyk, A.Wojtaszek-Szwarc and the NA61
Collaboration.
The aims of the NA61 experiment at the CERN SPS
are comprehensive and consistent measurements and study of hadron production in hadron-nucleus interactions needed for
neutrino and astroparticle physics, hadron production in proton-proton and proton-nucleus
interactions needed as reference data for better undestanding of nucleus-nucleus reactions and hadron production in nucleus-nucleus collisions, in particular fluctuations and long range correlations
with aim to identify properties of the onset of deconfinement and search for critical point of strongly
interacting matter.
The High Energy Group participate in the preparation of NA61 experiment and in data taking in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Till now we have collected more than 40 mln events.
We took part in preparation of software tools for reconstruction and calibration of NA61 data.
You can read more on the NA61 home page at CERN.

for further information about activities as well as
data taking and preliminary results.
